The transformer, which was supplying electricity to me, got burned and was replaced by the department after about two months. However, However, I was billed for consumption charges. Am I liable to pay any such charges when there was no consumption of electricity by me?

    no. you can file complaint in consumer forum, CGRF for Deficiencies in services.

    You need to contact electricity bill department and get corrected your bill for the said period. If they are refusing to do so then you may move to consumer forum. Obviously, you are not liable to pay the bill out of your consumption. You may contact me for further assistance.
