    Section-1 Title, extent and commencement

    Section-1 Title, extent and commencement

    (1) This Act may be called the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890.

    (2) It extends to whole of India l[except the State of Jammu and Kashmir].2[***]

    (3) It shall come into force on the first day of July, 1890.
