    Section-1 Short title, extent and commencement

    Section-1 Short title, extent and commencement:-

    (1) This Act may be called the Land Acquisition Act, 1894;

    (2) It extends to the whole of India except Part B States; and

    (3) It shall come into force on the first day of March, 1894.
