    Unfer section 330 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860
    A police officer is not allowed to cause hurt to a person for extorting a confession. If any police officer does so, it will make him punishable by imprisonment of up to 7 years. 
    Illustration: A, a police-officer, tortures Z in order to induce Z to confess that he committed a crime. A is guilty of an offence.
